How much is this going to cost me?
The cost for pest control varies tremendously depending on the type of pest we are targeting, the size of the property we are servicing, and the end results you wish to see. Often, we can give you a good estimate over the phone, and if we can’t, we will come to your property and put together an estimate in person. We tend to offer a greater variety of options than our competition, and our prices manage to be at or slightly below the area average. Really though, the more important question is: what am I getting for my money? At Jefferson Pest Control, we will be 100% up-front about our costs, our options, and exactly what results you will see based on the service you choose.
Is there a fee for “termite inspections”?
We will provide a free estimate for termite control for any customer within 20 miles of the home office. Outside of this area, we will charge a travel fee. This free inspection service is not valid for any inspections that are being performed for the purpose of buying, selling, or re-financing.
Is it safe for my pets and children?
Jefferson Pest Control’s priority is the safety and happiness of our customers, as well as being as environmentally friendly as possible. All of our materials are EPA approved and biodegradable and all technicians have been thoroughly trained on industry safety regulations and guidelines. The products we use are the same products that are used in sensitive areas, such as schools and hospitals. We take pride in providing pet-friendly and kid-friendly pest solutions to our clients.
How often do you need to come out to our home?
This is a part of the customization package we will decide upon before we begin service. In Shasta County, most of our services are performed on an ‘every-other-month’ basis. However, depending on the pest we are targeting, and even the location of your home: you may be better served by a monthly, or even every 3-month service.
What type of payments do you take?
We take cash, checks, and all major credit cards. We do offer automatic payments, as well.
Do I have to be home during the service?
Generally, no. We do prefer it if someone could meet our technician for the first service. It is important to us that we can meet face-to-face, at least once, so we can make sure that the service we will be performing is exactly the service you desire.
What does a regular service include?
Keeping in mind that a regular service can be customized for producing the optimal results you are looking for: a standard regular service on a residential home will include the following: removal of all spider-webs from the outside of the home (18’ and below), a perimeter treatment around the foundation-line of the home, treatment of eaves (where legal) for the control of spiders, wasps, and ants, a treatment of the cracks and crevices in concrete walkways or patios, a treatment around the bases of trees and shrubs within 20’ of the home, a treatment around (up to 2 with standard pricing) sheds/storage buildings in the yard, and a treatment around likely pest entrance areas such as windows and doorways.
Do you do fumagations?
Yes, we can arrange a fumigation for your home. That said, this is a very expensive option, typically only warranted for a handful of pests, such as Drywood Termites. A fumigation for anything outside of those few pests should always be regarded as an option of last resort.
